Know what I know? There’s totally a waterfall less than an hour’s drive. Know what else I know? That you can spend your Sunday afternoon taking a guided hike to the waterfall at High Falls along the Towaliga River, and then totally update your Facebook photo with you grinning in front of a waterfall! I can tell you from personal experience that the hike is an easy one, and the picture taking opportunities are to die for. It’s just ¾ of a mile long and for less than dinner for two at McDonald’s you can have a guide take you there and tell you all about the history and the habitat that surrounds the river. It’s a great walk for kids and for those that might be a little older as well, plus all us in-betweeners. Not to mention that you can pretend you’re on vacation in the mountains, or that Blue Lagoon that Brooke Shields made all famous.
