The Rev. Jim Cabaniss, of the Confederate Memorial Camp in Stone Mountain, told the story of Garrard's Cavalry Raid as it unfolded on July 22, 1864. Cabaniss put on the Confederate dress of the day for Wednesday's re-telling at the Depot in Olde Town Conyers and explained the items a chaplain and soldier would have carried during the Civil War, also described as "the war between the states."
