Using DNA evidence, Conyers Police have identified one of the GameStop murder suspects as the unidentified seventh suspect in the Wendy's armed robbery that occurred a year ago.

Markus Isiah Seymore, 17, of Atlanta was charged with aggravated assault, armed robbery, and possession of a firearm in the commission of a crime for the June 13, 2010 armed robbery of the Wendy's at 1655 Ga. Highway 138.

Seymore, who is still being held in the Rockdale County jail, was previously charged for the November 11, 2010 armed robbery turned shooting murder at the GameStop in Conyers off Dogwood Drive, where he was caught and arrested after spending a night in the sewers.

CPD Lt. Jack Dunn said at the Wendy's robbery on June 13, around 1 a.m., two suspects with covered faces approached the manager as she had released the last of her employees. The manager was able to get back in the building and lock the door, but one of the suspects mule-kicked and broke the glass door. The two armed suspects came in through the broken glass door, cutting themselves in the process, and chased her down, taking the money deposit from her.

Six suspects had been arrested in that robbery, but the seventh had never been found.

Until now.

Dunn said investigators had reason to believe there was a connection and requested DNA samples from Seymore to be tested against the blood samples collected from the broken glass door at the Wendy's crime scene.

Dunn said Seymore was believed to be part of a robbery crew working out of the Edgewood area in Atlanta.

"More than likely, he would have come out here multiple times had he not been caught," said Dunn.

Other suspects arrested for the Wendy's armed robbery were: Calvin Leon Chambers Jr., 22, of Atlanta, the suspected get-away driver; Randall Lee Peterson, 21, of Alpharetta; Javonte Terrel Jackson, 19, of Conyers and Jamonte Quinshawn Hambrick, 17, of Decatur, suspected as lookouts; Derontay Goolsby, 18, of Atlanta who was suspected to be one of the gunmen.
