Summertime, with school out and no school meals being served, can be a time of hunger for children and families in need.

Rockdale Emergency Relief is asking for the public's help to keep the food pantry shelves stocked for hungry families in Rockdale.

RER is running low or is completely out of the following items:

Spaghetti noodles

Spaghetti sauce

Soup

Cereal

Canned meats

Hamburger Helper

Jelly

Donated items can be dropped off at 350 Tall Oaks Dr SE  Conyers, GA 30013.

The Food Pantry serves about 3,750 families or 10,000 people per year. Last week, 45 families visited the food pantry, and this week 37 families have already visited the pantry in need of groceries and food items, according to RER Executive Director Ashley Roesler.
