The National Weather Service out of Peachtree City has issued a flood warning for Rockdale and DeKalb county from Saturday afternoon until further notice.

The Yellow River near Conyers, below Milstead, and near Lithonia has risen with the recent rainfall. At 5 p.m., it was measured at 12.9 feet and flood stage is 13 feet.

The warning reminds drivers not to try and drive through flooded areas and residents along the river to take necessary precautions.
