Georgia First Lady Sandra Deal stopped by Rockdale Cares' Haven House respite home in the Light House Village on Sigman Road and the Our Place day facility on Parker Road on Thursday on her way to Milledgeville. Rockdale Cares provides services for the developmentally disabled.

Deal said of the visit, "Rockdale Cares invited me to tour their facilities for developmentally challenged children and adults. I am concerned about all Georgians, especially our children. My goal is that all children are educated, healthy, safe, and growing. I am interested in learning more about Haven House and Our Place and the services they provide to children, adults, and families."
