A fire broke out in a home in the Little Mountain subdivision near Ga. Highway 155 on Thursday. No one was injured in the blaze.

The homeowner called 911 shortly after 2 a.m. reporting smoke rising from the lower level of the single-family home.

Firefighters had the fire under control in about an hour and were on site about 5:44 a.m. Henry County ended up lending assistance with a water tender. The house was located at a distance from the nearest fire hydrant.

"It was difficult due to lack of water," said Deputy Chief Mike Lee. "We had to shuttle water with the apparatus until we got Henry County’s water tender in there."

The cause of the fire was under investigation as of Thursday.
