Final suspect arrested for robbery and shootout incident in Rockdale County
Rockdale-County-Sherriffs-

CONYERS- A teenager accused of being involved in an armed robbery earlier this year has been arrested in Maryland according to the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office (RCSO).

Dandre Bell, 19, is accused of robbing a man at gun point, along with two other suspects. He’s being charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault and theft of a motor vehicle.

According to RCSO Cpl. Michael Camp, Bell, a resident of Lithonia, Georgia, fled to Maryland to stay with family members. While there, law enforcement arrested him at a laundromat a few blocks away from his family’s residence.

The RCSO took out arrests warrants for Bell earlier this year but “he’s been pretty elusive,” said Camp.

He’s still in Maryland, but since he has no warrants in the area, Camp expects him to be extradited back to Rockdale County soon.

On Feb. 11, Bell, Conyers resident Jazmyne Booker-Mitchell, 17, and a 16-year-old male juvenile allegedly conspired to rob a man Booker-Mitchell met on a chatting app. The man was 24-years-old.

Shortly after meeting for what the man described as a “romantic encounter” around 1:30 a.m., Booker-Mitchell led the victim down a path where Bell and the juvenile were waiting with guns to rob the man. When the duo attacked the man, he pulled out a firearm of his own and a shootout began among them.

No one was injured by the hail of gunfire.

The suspects ran back to the man 2011 Jeep Compass and drove the vehicle a few blocks away from the man originally left it. Before exiting the vehicle, they took $1,000 in cash that was located inside the vehicle. The man also reportedly had multiple condoms with him.

Booker-Mitchell was arrested shortly after the incident. She is being charged with armed robbery and theft by taking.

The juvenile, who’s a resident of Lithonia, was arrested in DeKalb County for a similar incident that occurred in that jurisdiction. He’s currently being held a juvenile center in DeKalb, and he faces the same charges as Bell for the incident that occurred in Rockdale.
