Event raises $4,200 in memory of slain landscaper Tim Clements

Donations from community members, companies, friends and area residents poured in and helped raise about $4,200 for the family of Tim Clements, a Conyers landscaper found killed in June. The concert, held Aug. 23 at the American Legion Post 77, was the idea of the bank The Shining, said Diane Stifler.

"Everybody’s been wonderful," said Barbara Clements, Tim’s widow. "We’ve had a lot of donations from local businesses." A memorial fund has been set up at any Bank of America branch. For a complete list of sponsors, visit
