Several Conyers churches and their pastors - Dr. John Breyer of Conyers First United Methodist, the Rev. Dan Crockett of St. Simon’s Episcopal Church, Trinity Baptist Pastor Joe LaGuardia, Father Randy Maddox of St. Pius X Catholic Church, and Epiphany Lutheran - worked together to present the 24rd Annual Community Thanksgiving Ecumenical Service on Nov. 22, at St. Simon’s Episcopal Church. The Thanksgiving offering of more than $600 benefited Family Promise of New Rock, a hospitality network made up of 13 host churches and five support churches that host homeless families and seeks to bring families back to stability and financial independence.
