Ducks were on parade at the Elks Aidmore Center this morning, as the Olivia Haydel Senior Center launched 1,200 rubber ducks were released into a creek for the annual Rubber Ducky Race fundraiser, which raised more than $12,000

Proceeds go to Rockdale County Senior Citizens programs such as Meals on Wheels, Congregate meals, Grandparents Raising Grandchildren and Health and Wellness programs.

R&R Mobility and Lifts was the main sponsor of this year's Rubber Ducky Race.

Besides gathering on the creek banks to cheer on the ducks as they rapidly floated downstream, participants also enjoyed the music from the Oconee River Boys, competed in field games, and had a plate lunch provided courtesy of Glenn's BBQ, Sysco, Conyers Market, Ms. Winners and Rockdale Site Council.
