IN BRIEF: The Downtown Development Authority voted to donate $500 to the Main Street Conyers Fund.

The Main Street fund has recently started up their annual fundraiser, which will run through January 2012. The Main Street fund has also started sending out postcards and magnets to new home owners, in order to get their name out.

Marty Jones raised the motion to have the D.D.A contribute to the fund, which is matched by the City of Conyers.

Daniel Digby then reported on the 24 Hour Georgia Mountain Bike race held at the Georgia International Horse Park on Oct. 8.

According to Digby, the race brought in $70,000-$100,000 for local businesses in retail sales and hospitality spending.
