Cross-dressing suspect robs motel
Microtel-1
The Rockdale County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in tracking down a male suspect who came in dressed as a woman and robbed a motel at gunpoint.

On July 7, at approximately 11:15 p.m., a black male disguised as a woman entered the lobby of the Microtel Inn & Suites located at 1412 Old McDonough Highway. The suspect then proceeded to approach the counter in the lobby and ring the service bell when no one was at the desk. An employee who was in the back eating dinner came out to greet the suspect, who then pulled a black semi-automatic handgun from his purse and demanded money. The employee emptied the cash register and the suspect left the hotel on foot and was last seen running in the Suburban Lodge parking lot across the street.

The suspect is described as a black male, between 5'8" and 5'10" tall, weighing between 140 and 160 pounds, with a muscular build, and having a large nose and thick lips.

The suspect was disguised as a woman, wearing a black wig with a red or purple tint, wearing a padded bra underneath a tight-fitting shirt, and carrying a black purse. He did not have any visible scars, marks, or tattoos. Anyone with any information related to this case can call the Rockdale County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division and speak with Investigator Tracy Radford at (770) 278-8169.
