The City of Conyers and Crime Stoppers are increasing the reward up to $7,000 for any information that leads to the indictment of the armed robbery suspects who struck Omnicare medical facility in a hostile takeover-style robbery earlier this year.

In the early morning hours of Monday, Jan. 20 two suspects armed with a handgun entered the business and tied two employees up with duct tape at gun point. One of the suspects then forced a third employee into a rear room where they collected a large amount of prescription drugs. This suspect then bound the third employee with duct tape and fled the scene in one of the victim's vehicles. The vehicle was recovered a short time later by DeKalb Police Department off of Turner Hill Road.

Police Chief Gene Wilson pushed for the increased reward commitment by the City of Conyers to supplement Crime Stoppers Greater Atlanta's existing reward. "We hope that offering this reward will encourage folks with any information to come forward and get these dangerous criminals and prescription drugs off the streets," Chief Wilson said.
