The Conyers Police Department Explorers brought home trophies in multiple categories in the Metro Atlanta Competition for Explorers at the North Central Georgia Law Enforcement Center in Austell hosted by the Smyrna Police Explorers on the weekend of Oct. 9.

Out of 15 teams, the Conyers Police Explorer Post placed second overall. The CPD Explorers placed first in Domestics and Unknown Trouble, second in Unknown Risk Traffic Stops, third in Officer Down.

This year's team's had such good communication and performed so well judges had difficulty finding areas to critique, said Officer Travis Quimby.
