A Covington man has been arrested for allegedly helping to burglarize a home where up to 30 firearms and three televisions were taken.

Victor Marcos Ramos, 35, was taken into custody Thursday and is being charged with burglary. He’s the third person to be arrested for this incident, including Barry Arnold, Jr., 29, and Amy Maike, 26, since it occurred in November.

The victim of the crime reported that sometime in the morning hours of Nov. 14 that their 60-inch TV, two 32-inch flatscreen TVs and 30 guns, including handguns, shotguns and rifles, were stolen from her residence at the 1300 block of Pleasant Hill Road, Lithonia. The victim was not present at the time of the burglary.

The 51-year-old female victim stated that Maike, who was a friend to her daughter and had been inside the residence multiple times, called her shortly before she left the house around 9:50 a.m. The victim reportedly found interesting because “she is not friends with Ms. Maike and does not know why she would be calling,” according to the deputies report.

“(The victim) stated that Ms. Maike asked her if there was any work she could do around the house to make some extra money,” the deputy wrote. “She also stated that Ms. Maike asked her if anyone was home at the residence.”

Investigators of the Rockdale County Sheriff Office found reason to believe that Maike, a resident of Danielsville, Ga., was involved in the burglary and arrested her Jan. 6 and charged her with burglary. 

“Ramos and Maike were involved in the direct burglary,” said RCSO Cpl. Michael Camp. 

Arnold was arrested three days after the initial incident on Nov. 17. He was charged with theft by receiving stolen property because one TV and 17 of the stolen guns were recovered from his home at 3123 Goode Road, Conyers. 

Arnold has been arrested by the RCSO several times, with his earliest arrest dating back to the 1990s. There have also been at least 25 previous incident reports involving his residence for drug and forgery related activity. 

“We believe the items were taken to his house after the burglary,” said Camp. “Whether he was involved in the actual burglary, we don’t know.”

RCSO have yet to recover the other 13 stolen firearms and two TVs. The investigation is still ongoing. 

Ramos is still in the Rockdale County Jail.  

Maike stayed in jail for about two weeks before making her $12,500 bond. Arnold’s bond was set at $11,000, which he paid after four days of sitting in jail.
