Conyers woman killed in crash during storm on Sigman Road

CONYERS - A Conyers woman was killed and two children injured in a head-on collision during Tuesday's heavy storms.

Brandy Michelle Wilkins, 29, of Conyers was driving a 1994 Chevrolet GMT 400 pickup truck southbound on Sigman Road around 7:05 p.m., according to a Georgia State Patrol spokesperson.

According to initial reports, the Chevy drove through area of standing water that was several inches deep. Wilkins reportedly lost control of the vehicle, which crossed over into the northbound lane and was struck by an oncoming 2013 Dodge Durango.

Wilkins was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the pickup truck and fatally injured.

The Dodge Durango had an adult female driver and four children. Two of the children were reportedly injured in the crash.
