Officers with the Conyers Police Department arrested a Conyers woman April 27 after she attempted to steal more than $150 worth of merchandise from Kohl's department store.

According to the incident report, Jennifer Strantz picked up jewelry and a bottle of perfume from the display county in the jewelry department. She then proceeded to the misses department, where she picked up clothing and placed it in her cart.

Strantz then made way to the accessories department and picked up a watch, wallet, sunglasses and a pursed. She then entered the fitting room with the items in her cart.

Before Strantz entered the dressing room, an employee checked the area for hangers and tags and found the area to be cleaned. After Strantz exited the dressing room, the employee found hangers, price tags and a perfume box in the stall where Strantz had been.

Strantz left the store without paying for the item and was apprehended by loss prevention officers in the parking lot.

The stolen merchandise, which included a fashion ring, two shirts, a wallet and the perfume bottle, was found in her purse.

She was transported to the Rockdale County Jail and charged with shoplifting.
