IN BRIEF: The Conyers Police Department (CPD) is currently searching for persons responsible for a rash of vehicle break-ins that occurred Wednesday night.

The multiple thefts happened in the Northridge subdivision, which is just off Sigman Road. All the vehicles were left unlocked by the owners.

“We are putting flyers out in the neighborhood today offering a reward for information leading to an arrest,” said Kim Lucas in an e-mail. “We are looking for any neighbors that may have seen anything suspicious.”

The CPD has no leads at this time, but the department is offering a $1,000 reward for any information that leads to an arrest of the unknown suspect(s).

Two tips on how not to become a victim of this common Metro-Atlanta crime are to always lock your vehicle if it is not in a locked garage and to remove any valuables from the vehicle when it is parked, according to the CPD.
