Conyers Middle School student Alycia Johnson, a rising eighth grader, will be a speaker at the week-long AVID training for teachers held in Atlanta. She has been recognized for her academic achievements by being selected for the A-B Honor Roll, Honor Roll with Distinction, and January Student of the Month. In addition, she participates in softball, cheerleading and track. She is a member of the Conyers Middle School AVID Ambassadors, where she speaks to students and parents about the benefits of AVID. Alycia plans to attend the University of Southern California where she hopes to major in biology. Her career goal is to become an obstetrician.
