IN BRIEF: Plans to wide Sigman Road from Lester Road to the Dogwood Connector are in motion with the project set to begin in 2015.

Conyers city council members approved a contract Wednesday night to fund 50 percent of the concept and environmental reports necessary to move the project forward. The county will begin obtaining right-of-ways in three years and construction is projected to begin in 2017.
