The Conyers-Rockdale Chamber of Commerce will hold its 60th annual meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 28, at the Georgia International Horse Park.

The luncheon event, running 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., will mark the symbolic and literal passing of the gavel from last year’s Chamber leadership to this year’s Board of Directors and committee heads. It will be the first annual meeting for new Chamber Chairman T. Pat Cavanaugh, who also is publisher of  The News.

Awards to be presented at the event include: the A.R. Gus Barksdale Lifetime Achievement Award, the Betty Straw-Brown Community Spirit Award, the James P. Culpepper Volunteer of the Year Award, and the Education Partner of the Year Award.
