Car chase through Olde Town ends after gun fired

A robbery victim decided to take matters into his own hands and pursued his alleged robbers in a car chase through the streets of Olde Town Conyers, until the suspects began firing at him.

Dispatchers received a call around 5:30 p.m. on May 27 from the victim reporting that a robbery had just taken place and that he was following the suspects through Olde Town as they were trying to elude him.

Police met up with him at Jack's Auto Garage after the chase was cut short when the suspects reportedly began shooting and the victim decided to stop the pursuit. No injuries were reportedly sustained from the incident.

The victim said he was at Carmen's Beauty Supply on West Avenue picking up hair nets. When he came back out to his Chevy Blazer and realized his driver side door was left partially open.

Inside the vehicle, he saw that his nickel plated Bryco Arms, Jennings Nine 9 mm handgun was missing.
He then looked over at three black males in a two door passenger car parked nearby. The suspects sped off and the victim followed the vehicle on West Avenue toward Green Street, turned right and traveled to Travis Street, crossing over the railroad tracks to Railroad Street.

Near Whistle Post Tavern, the suspects reportedly threw the victim's handgun out of the car window.

Crossing over Peek Street the suspects put a gun out of their window and allegedly shot at the Chevy Blazer.

The victim then pulled off into a driveway, went back and retrieved his tossed gun and waited at Jacks Auto Garage for the police.
