Firefighters responded to calls of a vehicle on fire on Lake Capri Road near the intersection with Rockbridge Road around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Neighbors reported hearing several loud explosions as the car and its gas tank burned. One neighbor said the explosion shook her home door so violently she thought someone was trying to break in. Another neighbor said she flares in the area just before the vehicle fire.

When firefighters arrived, they found the vehicle fully engulfed in flames. The fire was put out and car towed within the hour.

The car was located at the entrance of the unfinished Lake Greene subdivision off of Lake Capri Road.

No one was reportedly injured in the vehicle fire and there was reportedly no body seen in the car.
