Burglar takes nothing after breaking into store

An unknown suspect attempted to burglarize the Texaco at 1410 Klondike Road early Friday morning.

The suspect didn't remove any items from the establishment, says Kim Lucas, public information officer for the Conyers Police.

“It appears he was looking for a cash draw,” she said.

However, the managers of the store take the cash draw out of the register overnight and hide it. They do the same thing with the lottery tickets.

“He couldn't find anything so he just walked out,” said Lucas.

The black male suspect, wearing a white tank top and long basketball shorts, threw a rock into the front door made of glass causing it to shatter. The incident occurred around 5:55 a.m.

The suspect was caught on a surveillance camera committing the burglary.

If you can identify this suspect contact Crime Stoppers at 404 577-TIPS or at www.crimestoppersatlanta.org. Citizens will remain anonymous.
