Fine weather brought out a bumper crop of festival goers to this Saturday's Olde Town Fall Festival. Organizer estimate around 7,000 people attended the festivities, which had 122 vendors and volunteers from around the community, including Rockdale County High School, Salem High School and Heritage High School. Viewers also cheered on contestants in the second annual Olde Town Costume Contest for kids and for dogs, sponsored by The News.
Earlier in the morning also in Olde Town, runners in the Race Against Violence raised money to help famlies, women and children experiencing domestic violence.
Here are a few scenes from the festival, costume contests and race.
