Bulldogs cross country finishes first at meet

The Rockdale County High School Bulldog cross country team got off to a fantastic start on Saturday early in the season with a first place finish at the North Cobb Christian Invitational.

The Bulldogs placed four runners in the top 10, led by freshman Dax Willette who finished second (17:40), junior Patrick Massey who finished fourth (18:11); sophomore Jonathan Butler, seventh place (18:53); and sophomore Logan Hull, eighth place (18:54). Rounding out the Bulldogs top five scorers was freshman Sulaimane Bangura with a 17th place finish (20:04).

This year, Rockdale looks to build on their success in 2012 and their 15th place finish at the state meet.

Their next meet will be at the Our Lady of Mercy Invt'l in Fayettville on Aug. 24.
