Mr. Boyd Chester Craighead, age 87 of Alpharetta, died Wednesday, June 22, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Julia Craighead, Alpharetta; daughter and son-in-law, Chris and Roscoe Cook, Alpharetta; niece, Arlene Ford and several other nieces and nephews. Mr. Craighead was a veteran of the United States Army and served during World War II. He then became a school teacher and retired from the Washington DC Public School System. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Scot Ward's Green Meadow Chapel; interment will follow at Green Meadow Memorial Gardens.
