The Board of Commissioners (BOC) is holding a public Strategic Planning Retreat meeting on Tuesday, July 21 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the J.P. Carr Services Community Room, 981 Taylor St., Conyers, 30012.

The goal of this first planning session, which representatives of the Atlanta Regional Commission will facilitate, is for the Commissioners to decide how they will move forward as a board to focus on the County's major needs and desires.

The meeting is considered a continuation of the work the BOC began with strategic planning sessions in 2013.

Some specific focus areas to be covered during the meeting include providing a historical perspective of the County's planning efforts, deciding the ultimate end goals, creating a process timeline and sharing results of interviews with County stakeholders.

There will be no time allotted for public comment at this particular session, but opportunities for future public involvement will be announced.

For more information, contact Commissioner Doreen Williams at the BOC Office at 770-278-7001 or Doreen.williams@rockdalecounty.org.
