Interstate-20 westbound was blocked Wednesday afternoon near the West Avenue exit due to a vehicle on fire, billowing smoke in the area.
Rockdale County firefighters responded to the fully involved burned out Mazda minivan, which was being towed by a pickup truck just west of the West Avenue onramp.
According to Sharon Webb of the RCFD, two engines and a rescue truck responded and extinguished the fire. The mazda was a total loss with no damage to the picjup truck.
There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters in the incident, which was cleared before 1 p.m.
Lanes reopened as of 12:44 p.m., according to Conyers police.
