The co-owner of the Black Cat Curio Co., a New Orleans style voodoo store in Olde Town Conyers, is wanted for felony probation violation out of Floyd County, Georgia.

Elena Brown, 47, goes by Raven Desaix in Conyers but also goes by Chiara or Yelena Brown.

Brown is wanted for violating a probation tied to felony convictions brought around 2007 or 2008, according to the Floyd County Sheriff's Office. The incidents involved check fraud, credit card fraud, forgery, identity theft and giving a false name.

At the time, she was reportedly a co-owner of the Rome Knights and Rome Gladiators basketball team, according to an article in the Northwest Georgia News.

According to the same article, she also faced two counts in Clayton County, Ga. for bad checks.

In addition, Brown is also reportedly a fugitive from Cuyahoga County, Ohio for two counts of theft, a count of forgery and a count of false uttering.

According to articles on al.com, the web outlet for The Birmingham News and Huntsville Times, Brown is wanted for multiple incidents of theft and fraud in Alabama.

On June 5, 2011 Brown reportedly used a bogus check from the "Mobile Bay Women's Football" group to buy $375 of food at the Brick Pit barbecue restaurant. The name of the group was reportedly misspelled on the check. She was charged for second degree criminal possession of a forged instrument.

Brown was charged, along with Candace Peek, with second degree theft of property for $2,400 worth of hats stolen from the Lids Hat Shack at the Bel Air Mall in Mobile during December 2010 and January 2011.

The Black Cat Curio Co. store, located at the former Tattersall's book store and Sadie's Antiques location, was reportedly visited multiple times by law enforcement in the past week. Brown has reportedly not been seen for the past 10 days or so, although the store was open during the Olde Town Fall Festival on Oct. 25. The store opened last spring in a location down the street, next to the Celtic Tavern, and recently moved to its present location.
