Mrs. Barbara R. Benedict, age 71 of Oxford, died Monday, June 13, 2011. She is survived by her husband, Ralph Benedict, Oxford; daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Rusty Melcolm, Jacksonville, FL; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Lorie Benedict, Conyers; grandchildren, Taylor Melcolm, Jordan Benedict, Reed Melcolm, Jessie Melcolm. Mrs. Benedict was retired from Zep Manufacturing after 34 years of service. She was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 16, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Ebenezer United Methodist Church with Rev. CeCe Nickolich and Rev. Mike Nickolich officiating; interment will follow at Westview Cemetery. Family will receive friends Wednesday, June 15, 2011 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
