Avon supports breast cancer research with Tea for Ta Tas

Most people know October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

What you probably do not know is that Avon is the largest corporate supporter of breast cancer research.

Locally, Avon District 1570 and The Church at Covington are joining forces to support breast cancer research while hosting an event that promises to bring back old school refinement and style.

"Tea for Ta Tas" will be held at The Church of Covington, 11975 Highway 142, Oxford, GA 30054 on Sunday, Oct. 25 from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The cost of the event, $20, will include light refreshments, entertainment, hugs, tears and a pink ribbon product.

All proceeds will be donated to the Emory Winship Cancer Institute to benefit those without financial/insurance means to have mammograms.
