Atlanta man nabbed in underage sex sting

Conyers police arrested a 30-year-old Atlanta man in a months-long undercover sting after he traveled to Conyers to have a tryst with a person he thought was a 14-year-old girl.

On Tuesday, April 29, Bryan Jack Knight came to the GRTA Ride Share parking lot off Iris Drive in front of Springfield Baptist Church.

Knight had contacted a person he believed to be a 14-year-old girl via a social media website. That "14-year-old" was actually CPD Detective Sgt. Kristen Moore, an agent on the Internet Crimes Against Children task force with the Georgia Bureau of Investigations who had been trained to conduct such communications with perpetrators.

Communications took place for two months before Knight decided to ride the Express Bus from Atlanta to the Conyers Ride Share and pick up "the-14-year old." Knight was instead met by Conyers Police officers and arrested.

Knight, who was unemployed and reportedly living out of an Atlanta motel, was charged with Child Exploitation and Child Pornography.

He was booked into the Rockdale County jail.
