Audit Services Incorporated, an insurance claim review firm founded in Conyers in 1998, officially broke ground Friday on a new 5,200-square-foot additional building at its Conyers headquarters at 2123 Eastview Parkway, a $750,000 expansion that will eventually add up to 50 jobs to the approximately 200 existing positions.

"We greatly appreciate all the efforts that has made this project possible," said ASI CEO John Hall. He thanked Conyers-Rockdale Economic Development Council Director Marty Jones for helping facilitate the zoning and permitting issues as well as representatives from the city and county, Sunbelt, Bank of North Georgia, Snapping Shoals EMC, ASI employees and more. A new contract requiring new hires over the next 12-18 months made quick expansion a priority for ASI. The company plans to open the building by fall.

"We're excited about the expansion," said Hall. "We looked at other locations, but we'd rather stay close to home...We'd rather create jobs in our own back yard."
