If you appreciate watching plays, listening to a good concert, having art camps for kids - or you just enjoy a good stroll - it's time to lace up your running shoes in support of the arts on Oct. 1.

The Conyers Rockdale Council for the Arts will hold its inaugural Arts in Motion 5K run and 1 Mile fun-run fundraiser will start 9 a.m. from Olde Town, with proceeds benefiting CRCA.

"The CRCA chose to do a 5K run as a fundraiser because it is something that everyone of all ages can participate in," said Jackie Sprague, Executive Director of Conyers Rockdale Counci for the Arts. "This is something that we have never done before, and we are enjoying bringing new things to the community. Members of the community can make it a family outing, while at the same time, they are running to keep the arts alive in Conyers and Rockdale County."
