The Conyers-Rockdale Council for the Arts announced Jackie Sprague as the new executive director of the arts non-profit.

Sprague, who has served as the CRCA office manager for the last two years, would take over for interim Executive Director Fran Jones.

In a released statement, the CRCA board said, "Mrs. Jones has given many countless hours of her time, her talents, and her financial gifts to the organization... We couldn’t have done it without her vision and determination. We are in a better place because of her dedication to the Conyers Rockdale Council for the Arts."

Sprague was formerly employed with Bell South for 18 years and worked in many different capacities, including procurement manager, a vendor relations manager, an executive assistant to the comptroller, and led Bellsouth’s United Way Campaign. She was also employed with Federated Department Stores for 14 years and served as a human resources manager.

According to the release, Sprague’s new role will focus primarily on fundraising, including for the operations of Art Smart Camp and Drama Camp, Pre-school Pops, show productions, and Music Under the Stars. Another goal is to increase the usage of the Black Box Theatre. She will serve full time with the aide of a part–time office assistant and will continue to work directly with the artistic director for CRCA.
