Rockdale County students may have the week off for fall break, but some intrepid elementary and middle school students still awoke early and headed to the classroom.

Rockdale Career Academy hosted enrichment camps this week, with about 125 kids participating, and another 45 students participating in Career Tech camps, Oct. 3-7.

In the enrichment camps the students participated in classes such as Creepy Crawley, Oktoberfest, Scrubs, Scalpels and Sports Medicine and Native American Studies. In Career Tech, students got exposure to different carer paths with male students learning medicine and the female students working on construction and engineering projects.

The camp runs from Monday through Thursday.
