I know a lot of people are way into John Denver music – mostly because of the nature-loving message I think. Although when I was in high school I had friends who loved his music. Mostly because they were into being kinda lame. But if “Rocky Mountain High” is your idea of a good time, then you might want to grab up tickets to “Almost Heaven: John Denver’s America,” a production at the Georgia Ensemble Theatre happening through this weekend. Showcasing his popular music while chitty-chatting about “political and environmental philosophies,” the songs actually become the main character of the show, with the actors just filling in to play and sing the music – letting Denver’s folksy wisdom speak for itself.
