Mrs. Alice Nolan Jones Pitchford went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 25, 2010.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Pitchford and grandson, Brian Greer.  Mrs. Pitchford was born in Athens, GA on July 16, 1920 to the late Marjorie C. Thurmond and the late Wiley Jones.  She is survived by daughters, Sandra Thompson, Susan Payne and husband, Steve Payne; grandchildren, Alison Setser and husband, Clint Setser, Andrea Greer, Stephanie Payne, Sarah Payne; great-grandchildren, Sarah Swope, Avery Payne, Addison Setser, Graham Setser; sister-in-law, Fletcher Acree.  Mrs. Pitchford was an active member at Heritage Hills Baptist Church and a board member of Watchman Fellowship, Inc. for over 20 years.  She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and using her gift of hospitality took every opportunity to celebrate with her family and friends.  Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 28, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Heritage Hills Baptist Church with Rev.
