A white Dodge Ram pickup truck carrying a trailer full of salvage items caused all lanes of I-20 westbound to be blocked off Monday afternoon.
The vehicle was traveling near the Sigman Road exit when the trailer blew a tire causing the truck to spin, jackknife and flip over just past the Sigman Road overpass shortly before 2 p.m., according to Rockdale County Sheriff's special operation unit in charge of accident reconstruction.
The vehicle needed to be pushed off the highway before being flipped over and towed away, as firefighters worked the scene hosing off gasoline.
One lane of traffic westbound on I-20 was opened at 2:11 p.m.
