Rockdale Career Academy broadcast students could find themselves on the national evening news after ABC’s World News with Charles Gibson crews stop by on Friday as part of a segment on flu preparedness.

The students will be filming a public service announcement regarding flu awareness and precautions against the H1N1 influenza, also known as swine flu, and ABC’s cameras will be recording the students as they film.

Public Relations Director Cindy Ball said she received a call on the second day of school from ABC staffers about the school system’s efforts on influenza preparedness.
