AAMCO recognized for customer service

A local auto repair shop received national recognition recently for customer service.

AAMCO of Conyers received the Superlative Customer Relations Achievements award at the company's region conference meeting May 12. The store was one out of 850 to receive the award, and the only store to achieve the award in the Southeastern region.

"I feel proud," owner Bobby Abercrombie said. "We had no idea we were receiving this award."

Customer service manager Dane Brown was equally enthusiastic.

"It's an honor," he said. "I feel all of our efforts were recognized."

For an AAMCO to be considered for the award, the store must not have any complaints on its record from the previous work year. The Conyers AAMCO received the customer service award for 2011.

"Our home office monitors and handles all complaints," Abercrombie said. "It's a huge accomplishment not to have any complaints for a year especially in today's society."

The AAAMCO in Conyers opened for 25 years ago and has been under Brown's ownership for a little over two years.

"We strive to satisfy all of our customers and provide the best service possible. We have 25 years of service and always are willing to give back to the community," Abercrombie said.
