Summer’s still kicking, and that means that the Olde Town Summer Film Series in Conyers is still kicking as well. The second movie in the three-month series is “Oz the Great and Powerful.” This is my son’s new favorite movie, so I would say it’s totally family-friendly, plus it’s fun for grown-ups too. Lots of innuendo that kids won’t get which makes it fun for adults, plus awesome acting and fun special effects! Bring a blanket or a lawn chair, some coolers with beverages, and some cash for concessions (I bet they have funnel cake!), and watch a really fun movie while the fireflies blink around you. Say what you will about summer in the south, but I’ll take the heat to get these amazing nights that involve fireflies and movies with magic! The movie will begin at dark (about 8:45 p.m.). Get there early to get a prime spot.
