Young American Christian School seniors Emily Guntner and Ivy Bautista took an extreme step in honor of their aunt Paula, who is going through chemotherapy for breast cancer, in a unique fundraiser.

The cousins put down a challenge to YACS students in the seventh to 12th grade to raise $1,000 for the Kimberley Chance Atkins Foundation. In return, they would shave their heads.

The YACS students not only stepped up to the plate and met the challenge, they exceeded that goal and donated more than $1,200.

Emily and Ivy shaved their heads on Wednesday and presented Abbey Atkins, daughter of the foundation's namesake and also a YACS senior, with the check.
