Our high school students got their scores back last week for the Georgia High School Writing Test. We reported that while our score was down one percent from last year, we still clocked in at a respectable 94 percent.

Even more exciting, we were also a point above the state average, which totaled up to 93 percent.

Eastside had a 95 percent pass rate, Newton High school students had a 94 percent pass rate and Alcovy had a 93 percent pass rate.

We'd like to congratulate our students — and their instructors — on a job well done. We hope to see such satisfying scores on the other tests coming up in the winter and spring.
