One of the great joys of a bygone era in towns across the country, and way before Facebook and even television, was the arrival of the old fashioned fair.
Townspeople flocked to to the fair to eat cotton candy and fresh hot peanuts and be entertained by wondrous side shows. There were rides a plenty for the little ones.
If you miss those days of joy and excitement, the local Rotary in Social Circle is continuing that tradition from Sept. 6 - Sept. 10.
There will be gospel nights, bluegrass music shows and helicopter rides. There will also be rides and games galore.
