The Washington Street Community Center is a busy place that is the heart and soul and pride of the communities surrounding the Washington Street corridor.

Next Friday the center is sponsoring their second Jazz on the River Concert at Porterdale.

The event takes place out on the lawn behind the Porterdale Lofts.

This is a beautiful place to bring your family and enjoy an evening picnic and listen to the upbeat music provided by Conyers native Xavier Gordon and his group.

The cost is only $25 and the proceeds go to support the center.
