We were glad to read about Porterdale’s efforts to become a Main Street City.

The hiring of Teri Haler as its downtown director was a step in the right direction.

Steeped in history and charm, Porterdale could well become a boutique tourist attraction for Newton County. With the stable management and city council that are now in control of the city’s future growth and development, Porterdale has an excellent chance of meeting its goals.
