Newton Countians are blessed to have a library as vital and modern as ours is.

 During these times of layoffs and budget cuts, the library is fortunate to have a strong group of volunteers.

  The Friends of the Newton County Library are sponsoring their annual gift tree located just inside the lobby of the library.

 The tree is decorated by colorful paper ornaments, each with a book or a video to purchase for the library on them.

 If you can remember a time when you fell in love with a book that you borrowed from a local library, then you might want to go and pluck an ornament off of the ornament tree and make a donation so folks can still go to the library and fall in love again and again.
